The Albany Director's Lab: Taking your feature film project to the next level.
Here writers, directors, producers, and actors in the Capital District have a chance to meet in a collaborative setting. The Workshop will take a hands-on approach toward making feature films. Participants are expected to come to the workshop with a feature film script ready for project development. Through a process of several months the film scripts will be developed with the feedback of a script consultant, actors, producers, and the public.
While directing techniques will be taught thoughout the workshop, filmmakers are also encouraged to develop their own process. The workshop encourages strengthening your visual expression and ability to work with actors as well as developing a practical understanding of the business of film.
This workshop is meant for filmmakers and actors interested in taking their projects and talents to the next level. Please be as detailed as possible in the application. You may skip those questions that do not apply to your role in the film process (i.e writer, director, actor, etc...). The workshop cost is $99 per month and will last 6 months. Participants can pay on a month to month basis. Thank you for your time and consideration.
