How Do I Reckonize An Oriental Dragon?
Dragons of the Far East were born in the rivers and channels surrounding the many islands off the coast of China, Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. Their long undulating serpentine bodies are snake-like. They have short legs, and toe counts depending on their origin. Oriental dragons are usually wingless.

Some of the most respected fabled beasts are the dragons... the dragon has a foundation in all cultures throughout civilized history. The Celtic Dragon is reckonized by his wings, powerful squat body, muscular limbs, narrow jaw and pointed snout. The Chinese Dragon is distinguished by the long serpentine body and a blunt rounded snout. He is usually wingless, and has large claws on small limbs. The legends of these mythical beasts, both real and imagined, lend their power through story to great figures, dynamic characters, and courageous heroes.
