STOP SMOKING
It has been said that cigarettes are more addictive than heroin. The truth is that the addictive chemical in cigarettes can be uncomfortable to eliminate from your system, but certainly nothing in comparison to heroin. So, if that is true, why is it so hard to quit this destructive habit? The answer is in the question. It is the habit. Habits are formed over time, through repetition. How many other habits can you think of that you do 20, 30, even 40 times per day, every day, for every conceivable reason? "I need a break," "the kids are driving me crazy," "it was a really stressful day," and "this traffic is insane" are only a tiny sample of excuses to light up. Not to mention simple pleasures like after a meal, or when drinking.
Every aspect of your life is tied to smoking. You probably cannot think of too many events in your life when you did not smoke. Your conscious mind will always remember that you are a smoker. In future events, your conscious mind will add up all of the variables involved in that event and realize that cigarettes are missing, and will try to remind you by giving you an urge to smoke. In times of stress, your conscious mind will remember that in past times of stress smoking seemed to alleviate the anxiety and BANG, an urge! That is why so many people have quit smoking for months, and even years, only to start back again as if they had never quit. In the booklet that is included in your program, there are several tools that you can use to eliminate urges as soon as they arise.
Following are a few things for you to consider when quitting smoking:
• Understand that if you consciously want to do something, you are going to do it. If you want to smoke, you are going to smoke and nothing can make you refrain.
• Make a pact with yourself that you not only wish to quit smoking, but that you will never again want to smoke.
• Arm yourself with mental tricks that you can use to eliminate urges as soon as they arise.
• Use your hypnosis disk often so that you spend much less time thinking about cigarettes and fighting off urges.
