The Speed Start is a dynamic hand held and portable starting system. The unit has multiple sporting applications, but is particularly valuable for swimming and track. The Speed Start is equipped with an integrated sound and flash starting system that simultaneously synchs with a built-in stop watch to eliminate human error. This permits a coach to immediately interpret split times and to improve specific starting elements in real time, such as time to leave the blocks, time to enter the water and time to breakout to surface.

The Speed Start's compact size, portability and easy-to-use functionality, enables coaches and athletes to train for starts consistently and accurately. The Speed Start is powered by 8 AA batteries and outputs a sound of 110 decibels, lasting approximately 3000 starts. External contacts are provided with cable to interface with scoreboard timing systems. Open system (Omega) closed system (Colorado, Daktronics and IST).
