The Desert Trail
Shortly after rodeo star John Scott (portrayed with brusque flair by John Wayne) wins a local competition, an event official is robbed and coldly murdered. Scott, along with his best friend, the gambler Kansas Charlie (played by famed character actor Eddy Chandler), are framed for the terrible crime. The wrongfully accused duo immediately leave town to give themselves a chance to prove their innocence. They form a plan to confront the wicked thug who committed the horrible crime for which they are blamed before a determined posse finds them. - Runtime 55 minutes.
West of the Divide
In order to gain membership in the notorious Gentry gang, Ted Hayden (John Wayne in a thrilling early performance) decides to impersonate a wanted criminal – a man whose terrible death he has just witnessed. After joining the tarnished crew however, Hayden makes a shocking discovery – the man who killed his father years before is the leader of the outlaw band. Hayden quickly forms a plan of solemn retribution and grim-faced revenge. - Runtime 53 minutes.
