The Filter is HEPA and carbon/zeolite unit that is 13.5" diameter and 14.5" in height. It is 60 sq. feet true HEPA medical (medium) filter which has nearly 15 lbs. mixture of activated carbon and zeolite. Meets HEPA standards, trapping 99.97% of all particulates larger than 0.3 microns. It has foam sealing gaskets on top and bottom. Total weight of the filter is 23 lbs. In addition to the true HEPA medical filter the HealthMate comes with a PERMAFILT Pre-filter that traps large dust particles and is designed to be vacuumed from outside and eliminates costly 3 month filter changes. This whole unit cleans up to 1500 sq. feet efficiently. The best part is, it is Ideal for allergy and asthma sufferers or those with chemical sensitivities.
