Seaweed Soak
is one of the most
effective treatments in natural healing called "Thalassotherapy". Thalassa is
an ancient Greek word for "Sea". Remember how good you feel after spending
time in the ocean?
Seaweed Soak
detoxifies and purifies the body and stimulates lymp drainage while relaxing
tense muscles and reducing stress and tension. The electrolytic magnetic
action of the sea plant releases excess body fluids from congested cells and
dissolves fatty waste through the skin replaceing them with minerals as
Seaweed contains calcium, potassium, iodine, magnesium, iron and it is also
rich in trace minerals such as manganeses, copper and zinc. The natural iodine
present in the seaweed boosts thyroid activity, therefore food fuels are used
before they can turn into fat deposits. Also important is the Vitamin K, a fat
soluble vitamin in seaweed that aids in adrenal regulation. In regulating the
adrenals, seaweed soak helps to maintain hormone balance for a more youthful
body.
Seaweed Soak
with all of it's natural properties works to balance the acid-alkaline
systems, encourages liver activity, cellulite release and fat metabolisum.
Skin tone, color, and better circulation are almost immediately noticeable. A
hot seaweed soak bath is like a wet-steam sauna: difference is in the
resulating benefits, as the sea plants aid to balance body chemistry instead
of dehydrating it. Experience the rejuvenating affects when toxins are
released from your tissues while seeing for yourself how seaweed soak tones,
hydrates, moisturizes and clears the skin.
Directions for a Detoxifying Seaweed Soak Bath
Take a seaweed soak bath once a week for maintance, but it can be used more
often in a personalized detox program. Seaweed bath is the best way to get sea
plant benefits all over your body, while reducing tension, relaxing sore
muscles and beautifying skin texture.
To get the most from your seaweed soak, dry brush your skin to exfoliate dead
and dry skin cells as it helps to open pores for toxins to release from your
body.
Give yourself time to relaxe and allow the sea plants to do their job, take
reading material into the tub with you, or play soothing music, quite your
mind, and dim the lights. Turn your bathroom into your own personal private
healing spa. Give yourself the gift of about 45 minutes to soak and rejuvenate
for optimal results.
While filling your tub with hot water suiteable to your personal tolerance,
take the seashell that is included in the jar of seaweed soak and add 3
heaping seasheels full under the running water and mix well. The water will
turn bright green and some of the mixture might jell up, it is beneficial to
take this gel and rub it into your skin as it will help stimulate circulation
and remove toxins coming out of your body also remember to place it on your
face. During this time when water cools add more hot water to make yourself
more comfortable.
Take shower after bath to clear your body of released toxins or seaweed soak
that might be left on your body.
After bath drain water from tub, if any seaweed soak is left in the tub wipe
it out with a paper towel, then rinse and clean tub.
Note from Carole:
Scented Detoxifying Seaweed Soak:
I have chosen to have an unscented line to support the chemically sensitive,
allergic individuals and those with sensitive skin, sinus and lung conditions.
Detoxifying Seaweed Soak is a fresh pure
concentrated form of kelp. In its natural state it smells like ocean seaweed.
Many like this product unscented and find it is satisfactory to use it in
their detoxifying procedures. If you find the pure seaweed smell too strong
for your personal preference, you can add Pure Organic Essential Oils mixed
with castor oil to create your own personalized scented detoxifying seaweed
soak
If you would like to add
Essential Oils to your bath I recommend Aura
Cacia Organic Essential
Oils.
You can find them at most health food stores.
It is important that you use pure organic
essential oils because often commercial essential oils are chemically based
since pure organic essential oils are too expensive for many manufactures to
use in bath or hair products, candles, air fresheners, body scrubs or creams.
If you are using any products scented by essential oils, check to see if the
ingredients in the products are pure organic essential oils.
Essential oils are very potent; they
should always be use sparingly. Most oils should not be applied directly to
the skin and should never be taken internally, so be sure to keep them out of
the reach of children.
Aura Cacia has blends that are excellent
and cover a variety of detoxifying and medicinal topics. I use castor oil as the
base oil to put the drops of essentials in. The castor oil works as a carrier for
the essential oils and it is healthy for your skin. Keep in mind it takes very
little of the essential oils when blending your personal scents. Mix your oils
in a separate container; do not mix it in the same jar as the Detoxifying
Seaweed Soak.
Start with your container ¾ full of Castor
oil and add just a few drops at a time of the essential oil until you reach
the desired scent you want, and then just store them in that same container.
If you would like me to create a custom blend for you, just let me know. When
filling your tub, add the amount of oil mixture that is pleasing to you.
Order 16 oz. jar $12.95
Order 32 oz. jar $23.95
