the tax being applied at $7.90 per lb in NJ and $6.15 lb in NH.
Presently we do not have the
capability of automating these additional calculations during the 'Check-out'
process and have been absorbing this extra cost which exceeds our sale price!

My latest 'conspiracy theory' or 'Thinking Out loud' opinion:
...a plot funded by the 'anti-smoking' lobbyists,
delaying and/or obstructing the availability of tobacco
in an effort to first frustrate the smoker, positioning us for
another hefty price/tax increase as 'demand' heigthens.
The agenda being that 'smokers', or at least a large %,
will just quit and walk off the battlefield as both availability and
affordability over time, 'rip' the fight right out of us!
As of 06/12/09:
"Phillip Morris aligns itself 'in favor' of the newest
anti-smoking legislation/restrictions as the FDA takes authority over the
tobacco industry....
Tobacco before TAX!!!!
Stokkebye and 3 Castles availability is erratic and currently back-ordered, Stokkebye 'Late Harvest' is Discontinued!.... all tobacco inventory fluctuates on a 'DAILY' basis!

In the event of a ‘back-order’, our policy is to 'hold' the order and ship upon receipt unless directed differently by you...Know that all 'back-orders' are processed from a 'queue' relevant to order date and are shipped accordingly upon receipt of product.
