This unique elephant tea cozy was created on a hand-woven pre-shrunk cotton cloth base. The surface is covered with intricate patterns using silken threads. The continuous chain stitch embroidery is applied by using a hook called an "aree" instead of a needle. Because of the large number of fine neat stitches intricately placed in continuous patterns all over this elephant tea cozy, none of the cotton base cloth can be seen; an indicator of the quality of the cozy.
