Messianic Jewish Music
“Roots” completes the trilogy of albums. Like the first two, Hillel Tokazier draws heavily on his Finnish Jewish roots from the synagogue. In addition, he has composed some new songs to words from the Jewish prayer book, and the old Eastern European Jewish folk music tradition known as Klezmer is strongly represented.
The use of several ethnic instruments gives this album added interest. You can smell the odors of the desert and hear echoes of the wilderness as you listen to these songs.
