WATERPEPPER* - Polygonum hydropiper ‘Fastigiatum’
(A/20-24”)(FS/PS) In Japan the leaves of this cultivar of cultivated Polygonum are used as a vegetable for its hot spicy flavor. It is used in sushi and on sashimi. The seeds are used in Wasabi. The leaves are an unusual dark maroon or purplish-red.
