Whether you're exploring the wreck of a dismantled Liberty ship or encountering loggerhead turtles in a marine sanctuary, it's an exhilarating offshore adventure. Charter a trip to one of our fascinating destinations just offshore! With the ever-changing conditions here along the Georgia coast, every dive can be a new and enjoyable experience. Gray's Reef, approximately 17 miles east of Sapelo Island, was designated one of only twelve National Marine Sanctuaries in 1981. Before the Ice Ages, the reef was once a part of the coastline. Now it's home to loggerhead turtles, angelfish, coral, and also serves as part of the northern right whale's breeding grounds. G Reef is an artificial reef 23 miles off Little Cumberland Island. Although it also contains a utility boat and two 100 foot tugs, the main attraction is a 441 foot Liberty Ship - demasted, derigged, and dehatched! - making it an ideal wreck dive. Schools of angelfish, jacks, and barracuda frequent the site, as well as a turtle who's developed a rapport with us. Visibility can exceed 100 feet, enabling you to immerse yourself in wonder.Rates and Requirements SNORKELING Lesson --- Discover Snorkeling with a 1 hour pool lesson Fee: $25
SCUBA DIVING Lesson --- Discover Scuba with a 1 1/2 hour introduction to scuba diving in the pool. Ages 8-80+. Fee: $60
DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING --- After participating in Discover Scuba, enjoy a dive in local waters (fresh water) Fee: $200
PADI Seals --- Ages 8 and 9 enjoy a scuba diving experience in the pool. $60 per person
(maximum 3 participants per hour and a half session)

*PADI Scuba Diver Course --- Course Fee: $150 (4 person minimum)
*PADI Open Water Diver Course --- Course Fee: $175 (4 person minimum)
(if pool sessions are held at YWCA, add $50 to course fee)
(participants ages 10 and 11 need to add $50 to course fee)
*Scuba Diver and Open Water Diver certification courses are for ages 10 and older; private courses are available with notice.
Local Charters and Vacation Trips --- Certified divers and those who have completed the Discover Scuba or certification course may take advantage of local dive sites. Depths range between 18 and 80 feet. Certified Divemaster or Instructor is on each trip. Referrals for certification are accepted from all certifying agencies. A wide variety of specialty courses are offered.
WAVERUNNER RENTALS --- Guided Tours Enjoy touring the rivers of the beautiful Golden Isles. Rentals: One-Two riders - $95 per hour minute ride; 3rd rider add $10 (3 riders or 500 lb maximum) Reservations are highly recommended.
$145 per hour and ˝ ride for 1-3 riders (scheduled at beginning or end of day) Total Weight of passengers must not exceed 500 pounds. Please wear shoes.
Credit card number or prepayment required to hold reservation.
Cancellation policies: Individual reservations: 2 hours notice; Groups: 24 hours notice. Damage deposit of $200 per waverunner is required at time of rental (cash or credit card).
