Q
What are the differences between the VSA and the SAS?
A
The differences between the VSA and the SAS are fairly subtle but are significant in terms of the applications they are being used in.
The VSA - Vehicle Speed Alarm is a self-contained device to monitor and alert you when you exceed your maximum set speed. The VSA is normally being mounted in front of the driver for ease of changing the speed threshold and for an effective visual alert as well as audio alert built in the device.
The SAS - Speed Activated Switch is a subset of the VSA; it provides a switch to GND output. The switch is rated to sink up to 0.5 Amp and capable of energizing LED, Buzzer as well as a relay for activating and deactivating varieties of instruments such as spoiler, radiator fan, external alarm, lights etc. For the most part, the SAS is installed away from the driver's reach and normally set to a fix speed. In some applications, a switch and Trim-pots are added for several set speeds.
Q
Will the VSA - Vehicle Speed Alarm work on vehicles with an electromechanical speedometer (dial not digital)?
A
Absolutely! Digitalmor's VSA and SAS products require connections to Chassis, +12Volts (vehicle battery) and VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) line. Regardless of the type of dashboard Digital or Analog (dial gage), all vehicles assembled after 1982 use a VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) line to drive the dashboard. speedometer.
Q
Can I return some left over VSA's (from a large order)?
A
Our "45 Day Money Back Guarantee! No questions asked!" is for end users purchasing up to three units. Refunds are issued for FULL-ORDER returns of up to three VSA units. Please be assured that all units are tested by our quality assurance department before they are packaged and shipped. Any defective units can be returned for replacement (see our warranty policy).
In the past, the VSA was referred to as an automobile speeding alarm. In Europe it was referred to as a speedometer alarm or in-car speed alarm. High end model BMWs incorporate a speed warning device that produces a brief sound as one cross the set threshold. An automobile speeding alarm can be found in some super sport models of Japanese cars. These speedometer alarm devices are practically useless because the speed threshold is fixed by the manufacturer. This defeats the whole purpose of having an in-car speed alarm. An appropriate configuration of a speed warning device must include the ability for the driver to adjust a required speed threshold based on current road conditions and traffic restrictions dictated by the DMV - Department of Motor Vehicles - and local authorities.
The benefits of using the VSA are avoiding speeding citations and maintaining a clean driver's license for lower auto insurance rates. It is perfectly legal for car insurance companies to discriminate against chronic speeders and to reward those of us who believe in 'Safe Driving.' Sleepy drivers, smokers, drivers who use their cell phones, or drivers who may be distracted in some other way can benefit from the use of the VSA.
An automobile speeding alarm was a car gadget that was too expensive to produce until the 1980's when the mechanical speedometer was replaced by an electronic speedometer and the VSS - Vehicle Speed Sensor (signal line) - became the industry standard. The use of the VSS allowed the introduction of a speedometer alarm. While the installation of a radar jammer requires only two wires (chassis and +12V), an in-car speed alarm requires connection to the VSS line as well. Overall, the cost of a VSA including installation is a fraction of the cost of a radar jammer.
The VSA is an auto gadget that is more than just a vehicle speed warning instrument. The VSA sends a positive message to your children and other loved ones. The VSA is a speed detector which can help to enhance driving safety. Drivers in every age group may be prone to getting a speeding citation. Teenage drivers may tend to speed because they may dismiss the real dangers of speeding. Older, more experienced drivers no longer need to think about the mechanics of driving just like they do not think about the mechanics of walking. As a result, their attention may wander and they may unintentionally accelerate, and that is where a speed detector helps.
Now there is an economical alternative. Instead of trying to beat speeding tickets or fight speeding tickets, simply install the VSA - Vehicle Speeding Alarm - in your automobile. Avoid costly and time-consuming speeding tickets! Avoid losing your driver's license! A radar detector will only encourage a driver to speed! The Vehicle Speed Alarm costs a fraction of the cost of a single speeding ticket and even a smaller fraction of the cost of a radar / laser detector. The Vehicle Speeding Alarm will monitor and alert you when you exceed your set speed limit.
The VSA can save your life and the lives of your loved ones. Drive smarter and safer! Save on Auto Insurance! Digitalmor is working with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and the auto Insurance industry to get the Vehicle Speed Alarm (VSA) recognized for a premium discount. If you are like many law abiding citizens who strive to be safe drivers but may become distracted and unintentionally exceed the speed limit, then the Vehicle Speeding Alarm is the remedy for you. Radar detectors only encourage driving above the speed limit and the disregard of speeding laws. The Vehicle Speed Alarm, however, is a positive add-on to any vehicle driven by young and old alike. The Vehicle Speeding Alarm promotes driving safety. It will alert you when you may be unintentionally speeding as a result of talking on a cell phone, while driving, eating or drinking while driving, smoking while driving, or similar activities.
Adding this speed detector to your vehicle is as simple as connecting three wires. Electronics hobby enthusiasts will like this useful auto gadget / auto instrument which can be sourced from Rx4Speeding. The URL for the website is http://www.Rx4Speeding.com. The Vehicle Speed Alarm is manufactured by Digitalmor and sold through Rx4Speeding.com. It is an effective and proven driving safety product. The VSA (Vehicle Speeding Alarm) allows you to set a speed threshold (based on current road conditions) and warns you when you are unintentionally exceeding the set speed.
Let the next driver pay $200.00 for a speeding ticket. Let the next driver lose his/her driver's license. Let patrol officers pull over somebody else in their effort to earn 'one extra vacation day for every 100 speeding tickets issued.' Protect your teenage drivers. Teach them how to obey the law, NOT how to evade it with products like a radar detector, radar jammer, laser jammer, or laser blinder.
Can we live without a driver's license? Perhaps, but we can't prosper! Does a radar detector give us peace of mind? NO! What is the most that we can save by speeding? Minutes... The reason why the Rx4Speeding Vehicle Speed Alarm is the wise choice is that it is safer than using a radar detector. It is more reliable than a GPS based system. It is less costly than a radar detector and a GPS based system. When you are given a speeding ticket, you have been robbed by greedy state and local government as well as by the police. Fight it in court and it will cost you far more then entering a guilty plea, paying the ticket and facing the inevitable increase in your car insurance premium for several years. And now (thanks to computers and centralized data banks) you can't escape high automobile insurance premiums just by switching to another car insurance company. If you don't remember how many traffic violation points you have accumulated on your driver's license, the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicle) will gladly 'remind' you!
