Q    What are the differences between the VSA and the SAS?

A    The differences between the VSA and the SAS are fairly subtle but are significant in terms of the applications they are being used in.
The VSA - Vehicle Speed Alarm is a self-contained device to monitor and alert you when you exceed your maximum set speed. The VSA is normally being mounted in front of the driver for ease of changing the speed threshold and for an effective visual alert as well as audio alert built in the device.
The SAS - Speed Activated Switch is a subset of the VSA; it provides a switch to GND output. Q    Will the VSA - Vehicle Speed Alarm work on vehicles with an electromechanical speedometer (dial not digital)?

A    Absolutely! Digitalmor's VSA and SAS products require connections to Chassis, +12Volts (vehicle battery) and VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) line. Regardless of the type of dashboard Digital or Analog (dial gage), all vehicles assembled after 1982 use a VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) line to drive the dashboard. speedometer.
