In creating their large deciduous trees, Scale Trees chose the White Oak species as its prototype. It was selected because it is the most common oak tree in the United States. Historically, White Oak trees have also been the most widely used oak tree for product production including barrels, railroad ties, and furniture. The color of the foliage on the ScaleTrees Complete is from actual color matching of a mature leaf of a White Oak tree in the middle of Summer.
These completed ScaleTrees start with a twisted wire armature with flexible realistic bark textured coating. Then BranchBunches are added to fill out the mass of the tree branching structure. Finally, green foliage is added to make a completed Summer green tree.
If you prefer to match your existing foliage color, use Scale Trees Armatures--incredibly realistic armatures made of twisted wires. All wires are coated with a flexible bark textured coating. ScaleTree Armatures can be used as is for dead trees or sparse winter trees, or add the foliage of your choice to complete your tree. All of the armatures are approximately the same basic shape. This can easily be changed by bending and/or cutting off unwanted limbs.
As of May 2004, Scale Tree is going into hibernation. Please e-mail us with your requirements (quadstar@optonline.net) BEFORE placing your order to make sure they still have your items in stock! Thanks for your patience!
