They have been successfully used for tank decontamination and cleaning, tower decontamination and cleaning, line cleaning, emergency spill response, ground water and soil remediation applications, wastewater plant applications and during turnaround maintenance times. Alabaster Microbial Products have successfully helped the bottom line by reducing the personnel risk from exposure to hazards and reducing the downtime on turnaround projects.
Our products will clean the tank, facilitate product recovery, bioremediate contaminated wastewater and permit disposal of solid waste products as non-hazardous waste. The products perform a number of key functions including:
1) Disbursement of oils from solids freeing the oils for separation, skimming and recovery.
2) Aid in cleaning interior structures through use of surfactants
3) Maximize surface area of the hydrocarbons in the tank by breaking it down into smaller particles using a water-based emulsifier
4) Provide special enzymes which are used by the microbes to break apart the hydrocarbons for quicker consumption
5) Aid the microbes in their movement in finding their food source using a water-based dispersant – important in wastewater remediation since microbes only eat oil at the oil-water interface

Tank Cleaning Solution 1/Vapor Suppressant (TCS-1)
Our Tank Cleaning Solution 1/Vapor Suppressant is formulated to be used in cleaning all storage tanks but is the preferred product for tanks with high VOC conditions. When sprayed into the tank, it is highly effective at rapidly reducing VOC's. It takes just a few minutes to render any explosive vapors harmless and it cleans the tank at the same time. It works in conjunction with Alabster's specialized microbes and nutrient Booster products, first as a cleaning solution and also as an advancement solution to promote a proper biological environment for the microbes to flourish and thereby to accelerate microbial ingestion of the hydrocarbons in the tank and in the wastewater. TCS-1 is:
• Biodegradable
• Non-flammable
• Non-toxic
• Non-pathogenic
• Ships ready to use
• Compatible with common delivery systems and equipment.
 Tank Cleaning Solution 2/Heavy Penetrant
Our Tank Cleaning Solution 2/Heavy Penetrant is formulated to be used in cleaning all storage tanks but is the preferred product for tanks containing heavier sludges or oils. It has a higher concentration of penetrants than TCS-1 and is more effective as a solvent. It also works in conjunction with Alabster's specialized microbes and nutrient Booster products, first as a cleaning solution and also as an advancement solution to promote a proper biological environment for the microbes to flourish and thereby to accelerate microbial ingestion of the hydrocarbons in the tank and in the wastewater. TCS-2 is also:
• Biodegradable
• Non-flammable
• Non-toxic
• Non-pathogenic
• Ships ready to use
• Compatible with common delivery systems and equipment.
 Booster Nutrient Formula
Booster is formulated to accelerate microbial production through a special blend of nutrients designed for use with Alabaster's microbes and Tank Cleaning solutions. When used with these products, Booster will increase microbial activity, thereby hastening the bioremediation process.
 Microbe Blends
Specifically acclimated species of naturally occurring microbes. These species are effective in a diverse range of hydrocarbon remediation. Normal effective temperature range: 50°F to 100°F.
STRAIN A: Utilized for natural petroleum products such as Gasoline, Diesel, Motor Oils, Hydraulic Oils, Crude Oils, Sour Crudes, and other complex hydrocarbons and organic chemicals.
STRAIN B: Utilized for Refinery Petrochemical waste such as H2S, Phenol, Chlorinated Hydrocarbons, BTX, Solvents, Amines, etc.
STRAIN D: Utilized for waste such as PCP, Polynuclear Aromatics, Creosote, Heavy Hydrocarbons, etc.
STRAIN F: Utilized for waste such as Extreme Oil & Grease, Lift Stations, Activated Sludge, etc.
STRAIN Z: Utilized as a microbial additive for enhancing microbic activity in cold temperature applications down to 35°F.
