RUFFLED VALANCES

A valance looks best when it is at least 2 times or more the actual width of the window. EXAMPLE: If your window is 50 inches wide, you need at least 100 inches. However, you can choose to have 5 to 10 minus or plus actual WIDTH inches. Select the valance size based on how tight of a ruffled look you want.

EXAMPLE: If your window is 35 inches wide, a 60, 70 or 80 inch valance will work. Based on the 35 inch wide window, the following are descriptions of how your valances will look based on the size you select:

60" - A looser ruffle and shows much more of the fabric pattern/style.

70" - A tight ruffle and still shows the fabric pattern/style very nicely. (BEST CHOICE)

80" - A tighter ruffle and shows just a little less of the fabric pattern/style

(Some people prefer a tighter/very gathered looking ruffle)

If you are not sure of what size to order, email me your actual window Measurements (width x height), and I will calculate it for you.

We only give you 2 sizes to choose from, if you need something narrower, in-between or wider, just let me know. The price of your valance will depend on how much fabric it will take to make it.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR WINDOW

WIDTH -Measure Outside Trim To Outside Trim LEFT to RIGHT.

HEIGHT- Measure Outside Trim To Outside Trim TOP to BOTTOM.
