Believe it or not, we had a pretty long conversation with Sarah about this doll. Our daughter was emphatically not a girly-girl, but she turned into a very feminine and modern young woman. So we asked her: "Would you be offended if we called a doll a 'girly-girl' doll?" and of course her first reaction was, "well I wouldn't have played with her!" And we said "We know this, but growing up, did you have friends who were girly-girls, and would they have liked this doll?" So she thought about it for a minute and said, "Yes. I have friends who would have loved that doll to pieces! - so I guess it's O.K. to call it a girly-girl doll."
So having checked on our political correctness and passed muster with our modern feminist daughter, we hereby present: Coralie, by Corolle.
Coralie is a 14" tall soft-bodied doll with scented vinyl legs, arms and head, dark brown 'sleeping' eyes with lashes, and long black hair in pink ribbons. She is dressed in a pretty white floral dress with pink jacket socks and shoes. And as you can see from her picture, she has a very pretty softly smiling expression.
