Well you have found her at last... her name is Amanda, and she is one of the Shoe String Babies.
Amanda is an all cloth African American doll, 12 inches tall, dressed in a pretty jumper and pantaloons, shoes and socks, and comes with her own pet dog. Almost unique in a Black rag doll, her cute curls and ribbons are not just black yarn. She has fiber and pellet insides, an all cloth exterior, and is surface washable.
She makes quite the impression as a gift too - packed in her own shoebox, (see picture below) and comes with her canvas bag of shoe strings.
