How to choose your child's doll
|
The last time you had to choose a baby doll, you were probably five years old walking the aisles of the toy store yourself! And "Doll Selection 101" is not taught in any schools! Here are a few friendly hints to get you started:
0 to 12 months: Stuffed toys...soft and cuddly, safe and suitable...Bright colors, soft textures...maybe even machine washable. Look at our Asian Lovey baby dolls, (also available in Hispanic dolls, and African American dolls) or the Baby Bottoms™ stuffed baby doll toys. Generally smaller and light weight.
You'll also enjoy browsing thru our specialty infant dolls, like the asthma friendly teddy bear or the prayer reciting Fluffles.
12 months to 36 months: Think more realistic and lifelike baby dolls. You still want soft, but these dolls may become "permanent' companion dolls, so they need to be light weight for a toddler to carry. As your child grows, her doll can get a little bigger and heavier. Also around age two, you might consider a Potty Training doll.
