What's a "Sunday Only" doll?
Back in Victorian England, girls of the upper and middle classes used to have expensive dolls that were brought out by their Nanny's "only on Sunday," when they could play with them for a few hours under their Nanny's supervision. Baby Mei Mei is one of our dolls that we feel fits that category. Another way to recognize these types of dolls, is whether the manufacturer has tried to sculpt a doll that is life-like or doll-like. A Chinese baby doll to play with, resembles an Asian baby, while the higher end Asian collectible dolls are sculpted to appear as lifelike as possible.
