Colorado Wood Designs has been creating quality hand made wood boxes for years. Our wood boxes are not stained since only genuine beautiful rare or interesting woods are used. Each is meticulously hand-rubbed to a beautiful finish. Wouldn't you love to tell your friends that your special box is made from genuine Cocobolo from South America or Guatemalan Rosewood, or one of the other exotic or interesting woods?

Our wood boxes are made by hand using hand tools and power tools. We are very demanding when it comes to making our boxes. Our reputation hinges on it. Miter joints are typically used with keys inlayed with contrasting woods to strengthen the joints. Box joints are also used which are extremely strong. Tops are re-sawn and book-matched when it will increase the overall look. Several coats of the finest finishes are put on, hand sanding and rubbing after each one.
