Product Information About Word Cards

- A Preview function to see a summary of the files in each section. For example, click on Preview in the Word Recognition Section. The first 3 of 10 pages of Short Vowels Word file can be previewed.
- The vowels are printed in red and the consonants in black. This helps children easily see a pattern in the work. Visualizing the pattern helps a child learn and retain the information better by giving them a comprehensive understanding of how words are constructed. It also enables them to decode other words with similar patterns.
- When the skill to be taught or reinforced concerns a consonant, it is printed in blue. When the skill to be taught or reinforced concerns a vowel, it is printed in red. The first 3 of 9 pages of Digraph Word Cards can be previewed in the Word Decoding Section. You will notice in this file that the sh, th, ch, wh are printed in blue.
Each file contains- A checklist of all words included in the file. The checklist can be used as an evaluation tool to track successes and problem areas that need further concentration.
- 12 word cards per 8 1/2" x 11" page. (The smallest file has 36 words. The largest file has 300 words.)
