Slim Book of Rowing

An excellent instruction book for beginners and old hands.

$17.00

Barrie Robinson has excelled in several sports including competitive swimming, water polo, car rallies, sailing, shooting and rugby. Ruefully he admits that he never managed to do well in tennis or cricket. One season while playing Senior League rugby he got three concussions! So he changed to rowing, and competed at practically all the UK major regattas - even winnin some!

This, he maintains, is the most gruelling of sports but is far the most rewarding. Now a coach with Barrie Rowing Club, he was asked to put pen to paper. The result was described by Mr. Mike Thompson, VP Coach & Athlete Develeopment of RowOntario, as a "competent manuscript, an easy read with a fun style" and "very enjoyable with some good exercises".

The 75 page book is perfect for beginners and a good refresher for old hands. It includes coaching and describes some excellent exercises. It is definately something you should take with you to read before an outing!
