Over the last three years, cattle fed at Codyfeedlot have an overall average daily gain (or rolling herd average) of 3.6 pounds per day! This figure represents cattle placed on feed at 700 pounds or more. Calves weighing 550 pounds or more placed on feed here have averaged 3.1 pounds per day over the same three year period. We have found it most profitable to utilize the grids and start cattle in outside lots and finish them in our confinement finishing barns.
