The Cherokee Nation occupied all of present Georgia counties of Bartow (formerly Cass), Catoosa, Chattooga, Cherokee, Cobb, Dade, Dawson, Fannin, Floyd, Forsyth, Gilmer, Gordon, Lumpkin, Murray, Paulding, Pickens, Polk, Towns, Union, Walker, White and Whitfield.
