The Bondurants of Genolhac, France
Written by BFA historian Mary Bondurant Warren, after numerous researching trips to France and Switzerland, this is a history of the ancient ancestors of our immigrant ancestor, JEAN-PIERRE BONDURANT. He was an apothecary, born in Genolhac, France, who landed at Jamestown, Virginia, on 20 Sept. 1700.
A chapter entitled "Our Ancient Ancestors" was contributed by Jeff Duvall, and takes the Bondurant family back 30 generations from Jean-Pierre to Charlemagne. We learn of French, Spanish and Neopolitan ancestors we didn't know we had, and in the process a lot of French history.
Along with family history and family trees, photographs of the sites and documents relating to the family, maps, a detailed driving tour of the Languedoc area of southern France allows you to visit at your leisure the important places associated with the Bondurant family ancestors and the Huguenots.

The Bondurant Homecoming Video
An eloquent reminder of our ancestors in France, this video was made during the August 1993 excursion by members of the Bondurant Family Association to Genolhac, France, to place a plaque commemorating their ancestor JEAN-PIERRE BONDURANT (1676-1734) on the house where he was born. They also visited other sites with Bondurant family connections in the Cevennes Mountains. The video was taped and edited by Lisa Warren David and narrated by BFA historian Mary Bondurant Warren.

The Foremothers Video
The poignant life stories of the maternal ancestors of our immigrant ancestor JEAN-PIERRE BONDURANT are told while we visit the areas where they lived in Switzerland and France between 1400 and 1700. The heartbreaking persecution of the French Huguenots and their flight to Switzerland figures prominently in the life of Gabrielle Barjon, mother of Jean-Pierre. Also featured are his maternal ancestors, Gillete Amade, Suzanne Quarante, Dem. Jeanne de Belcastel and Dem. Bernadine de Tourtoulon.
