About Us
Educational Multimedia Services (EMS) was created to help learning impaired students understand math and science through emphasis on the modalities that best suit their learning capabilities. There was heavy emphsis on visuals and short sentence structure when it came to creating books and lesson plans for teachers. We further found that students from foreign countries who had problems with understanding English, let alone the sience text in English, found our books very beneficial in assisting their studies of required class work.

EMS then spread its wings and started working on a science series called Dr. Philbert's Place. It included science, social behavior, history, math and even a little fun. The series was designed to be heavy in visuals and special effects in order to lock the concepts into the visual learner's mind. This included creating CDs, DVDs, music, art work and a complete kit with all the teaching aids needed. The process of creating the art work for the various mediums caused the creation of Philip A. Wymer Studios (PAWs), a division of EMS.

At Philip A. Wymer Studios, you will find various types of art work, ranging from Illustration to Native American, Landscape, Fantasy, statues and cards. Most of Doc's work consists of a mixture of mediums such as pen & Ink, watercolor, computer, airbrush and acrylics. At times, some of his work is a combination of several of these mediums

Our Assistive Technology Division developed from the need to find visual aids for our founder's father-in-law who was diagnosed with Macular Degeneration.

There were many sites that had all kinds of information, but lacked actual equipment that would simplify his and the over-all family's life. Some of the sites proved to be non-existant, while others had poor service. If this was true for just one family, we felt that it would be true for many more families.

It was based upon this premise that Educational Multimedia Services decided to create an Assistive Technology Division in order to help those with Macular Degeneration, AREDs or visual impairment
