GreenClean is a multi-purpose granular algaecide formulated to kill algae, scum and molds on contact. It works through a powerful oxidation reaction and can be used on floor surfaces (concrete, gravel or dirt) as well as in irrigation ponds for algae control.
Application rates
2-lb container will curatively treat a 1000 gallon pond for an entire season; 8-lb will curatively treat a 4000 gallon pond for an entire season. With heavy growth of algae, recommended dosage is up to 1/2-lb per 1000gal – or 1-lb/2000gal.
Compatibility
Do not tank mix with aquatic herbicides or algaecides containing copper or bromides. Also apply GreenClean at least one day prior to the application of these products.

Treating String Algae
Use GreenClean on affected area, including waterfalls and streams. Turn off circulation before applying and turn circulation back on after 10-20 minutes.
Pond Cleaning
Use GreenClean for spring or fall pond cleaning. First, drain pond (remove fish & plants), then apply GreenClean to all surfaces. Rinse with water after 10-20 minutes and drain. Finally, re-fill the pond, replacing fish and plants after de-chlorinating as appropriate.

Waterfall Treatment
Use GreenClean for stubborn string algae on waterfalls. Turn circulation off and apply GreenClean directly to the algae. Let the GreenClean sit for 15-20 minutes before restarting the system.
Spot Treatment
Use GreenClean directly over the infested area. Re-treatment is required when heavy growth occurs.
