The Grumman EA-6B Prowler was a variant of the A-6 Intruder which first flew on April 19, 1960. The A-6 Intruder was designed as a carrier-based low-level attack bomber with the ability to deliver both nuclear and conventional warloads with pinpoint accuracy in all weathers. The EA-6B Prowler had advanced avionics and a longer nose to accomodate two extra ECM specialists.
