A Material Safety Data Sheet (also known as
MSDS) is a document required for specific products by U.S. Federal Law, 29
CFR 1910.1200. According to the law, manufacturers/distributors of chemical
products must produce an MSDS for each hazardous chemical they produce.
This law also requires
U.S.
employers to have an MSDS in the workplace for each chemical that they
use. An MSDS explains the hazards associated with the product, as well
as what precautions to take in order to avoid those hazards
