These plans and ideas have been put together by Carl Peterson, inventor
of the Peterson swing-blade portable sawmill, and precursor to the various
other "copy-cat" swingblades now available. Plans include important principles
for fast, efficient, and effective drying of valuable hardwoods and
softwoods. Designs that encorporate ready-to-hand resources, passive
and active approaches to wood drying, and techniques for improving existing
kilns. Build from scratch, build around a stack, or convert an
existing building into a kiln using these principles, concepts, and/or
advantages. These ideas will be valuable whether you have a budget of a few
