Question:
Can the bread be made in a bread maker?
Answer:Yes,
however it must be made in a Bread Machine that has a Bake Only Cycle. Refer
to my free recipe download for a detailed recipe and tips for success.
Question:
Can you convert our wheat based recipes using your flour mixes?
Answer:
Yes of course. Just remember to try and keep consistencies similar, make sure
you more than halve the butter especially for biscuits as they just spread all
over the tray. This flour blend does not hold too much fat. I use a little
butter or olive oil for moisture and preserving mainly. Also look at the
ratios of flour to butter or oil that I have used in other recipes as a guide.
Question:
Can I use Nuttlex as a butter substitute?
Answer:
Yes, not problems.
Question:
How do you store the flour mixes?
Answer:
You simply reseal them in their own packages simply squeezing out as much air
as possible. Leave on your pantry shelf. You can refrigerate or freeze to
extend life or prevent contamination from insects.
Question:We
have been using your great products for our autistic son for over a year now
he is GF/CF and soy intolerant so your products have been a godsend.
Now to add to our problems his Dr has just told us he is seriously
hypoglycaemic and must not eat products with more than 55gm carbohydrate per
100gm(lowGI). I noticed that the bendy bread and the perfect pikelets have
around 77gm of carbs, are these products suitable.
Answer:
The answer to the query is the 77grams is dry weight not wet. When you add
water you activate the gums and with the protein slow the release of the carbs
and conversion rate of sugar into the blood. Refined sugars without protein
and minerals are the enemy of the Hypoglycemic and he may need to give his son
some minerals. Tell him to look up www.info-archive.com
and look at the research on fulvic acid in blood sugar maladies.
Question:
Hi Kylie, My son has recently been diagnosed as being highly intolerant to
gluten, and to a lesser extent lactose. I am really interested in your product
range, but am a little concerned that the whey in the products may make them
unsuitable for people on a lactose free diet. I would appreciate it if you
would let me know either way. Thanks for your help. Cheryl
Answer:
Cheryl these products are especially designed with the lactose intolerant
needs. Please check out the website page
http://www.wheatfree.com.au/site/1446344/page/624088
for more information on the whey formula.
Question: Are your products suitable
for Coeliac or Gluten Intolerance?
Answer:
Yes absolutely! The basic flour formulas
are all gluten free, it is what you put into it that is your choice. Some
recipes do contain gluten so just check the recipe book for ingredients.

Question: I have just received the intro pack in
the post. Many thanks for the prompt delivery.
I have just a couple of questions. At the
moment I buy a gluten free multigrain type bread from the supermarket (gluten
free of course). Am I able to just add a mix of seeds to the basic
recipe to make something similar?
Also, I have a fantastic chocolate brownie
recipe with melted chocolate (I don't have a problem with dairy) and was
wondering if I am able to substitute the muffin mix for the flour/baking
powder in this recipe?
Andrea
Answer:
Hi Andrea Great to hear from you. Glad the
ordering was a good experience.
I made these mixes plain so they would not restrict
anyone dietary wise. So yes by all means the point is to mix in them
anything you like and or are able to eat. They Need Flavour!!!
With the brownie recipe, I have done one out of the
bread mix before but I have also done something similar which I use as a
cheesecake base out of the muffin mix. The muffin mix just gives a more
cakey texture.
