Calamity at the Devil's Door
In Calamity at the Devil's Door, Wilford and Patricia Lewine gather their immediate family in Tasmania to attend the first Winter Olympics in the Southern hemisphere to watch as their beloved step-granddaughter, Camie, compete in the figure skating event. They never suspect that they are walking into a nefarious terrorist plot to kidnap Camie and ten medal winners from the downhill skiing competition, held at a spot known locally as the "Devil's Door." As the terrorists begin to put their deadly plan into effect, the youngest Lewine, Trinity, mysteriously disappears, causing the Lewine family great turmoil.
Although local law enforcement resents their efforts, the three talented cousins, Jessica, Rhiannon, and Madeline, join forces to recover the ten-year-old girl, little knowing that Trinity has accidentally stowed away on the boat that is transporting the ten medalists to a small island off the coast of Costa Rica. The trio soon discovers the kidnapping is only a small part of the larger devastation planned by the terrorists. To the cousins' great dismay, they realize that the lives of millions of Americans hang in the balance. To save Trinity, they must confront the Colombian drug lord, Pedro Fernando, whose hate for the Lewine family has ultimately driven the entire scheme. They soon find their loyalty to their country tested by their love for their family.
