In-Liven is the result of over 20 years research and development. In addition to the twelve strains of Lactobacilli, which have evolved in nature, another has been added which comes from the lactic acid bacteria sporogenes. Sporogenes derive their name from the hardy, spore-bearing, lactic acid bacteria found in the Himilayan Mountains where the Tibetan monks have been cultivating them for centuries from a cheese made from yaks’ milk. When good bacteria die they give up their bodies as food to others. The lactic acidsporogene bacteria in In-Liven actually convert these expired bacteria to nutrients for the body.

During the life cycle of this bacteria species it forms spores. These are fully alive but dormant and for protection they have developed an envelope in which they wrap themselves. This means that they are totally unharmed by stomach acid and, infact, actually benefit from it because it helps them shed their outer protective envelope to begin their life cycle in the intestine.

Also, high temperatures do not affect them and once they reach the intestine the good bacteria are very rapid and effective colonisers. Importantly they are prolific lactic acid producers which means they soon lower the pH of the intestine making it inhospitable to yeast (the cause of thrush and candida), and other nasty bacteria. Bad (Pathonogenic) bacteria cannot live in a medium of less than pH 4.2 so when the In-Liven bacteria arrive and douse them with their pH 2.7 – 3.2 lactic acid they die, resulting in -

  • Reduction in levels of toxic substances for the liver to deal with
