Chronic mercury poisoning causes irreversible brain, liver and kidney damage.

MAGNESIUM (Mg) is one of the most essential minerals and works with Calcium to maintain healthy bone density. It also affects the metabolism of Phosphorous and Sodium, has an essential role in protein metabolism, relaxing muscles and helps maintain the circulation. One common problem associated with a lack of Magnesium is Cramp.
IRON (Fe) is important in ensuring oxygen is carried round the body efficiently. Anaemia, a common ailment is the result of Iron deficiency.
ZINC (Zn) deficiency in its chronic form is associated with skin lesions, baldness, sexual retardation, liver and spleen problems,impaired growth and the delayed healing of wounds. It is
important in the synthesis of DNA, RNA and proteins. Also it helps reduce the toxicity of Lead and Cadmium.
MANGANESE (Mn) is active in the formation of bone in the body (like Magnesium) and is also affected by Calcium levels. Lasting Manganese deficiency can cause dermatitis, hair pigmentation disorders, impaired growth and infertility.

VANADIUM (V) affects the metabolism of Manganese and plays a part in bone formation. It inhibits cholesterol synthesis.
COBALT (Co) interacts with the metabolism of Iron and increases haemoglobin concentration in the red blood cells. It is the metal in the Vitamin B12 group and forms a part of the some enzymes.
MOLYBDENUM (Mo) is contained in several enzymes, which help in oxidation-reduction. It also plays a part in Copper metabolism and prevents the incorporation of tungsten, which competes with other metals necessary in the body.
SELENIUM (Se) plays an important scavenger role in protecting the body from free radicals within cells. Selenium deficiency affects muscle tissue and increases the carcinogenic effect of toxic metals such as Lead in animals and possibly Cadmium in humans. Adequate supplies of Selenium prevent the development of cardiomyopathy, muscular dystrophy and colorectal cancer.
 As you can see the list is pretty impressive, especially when you consider the importance of each mineral.
The Humet®-R capsules do not contain Cobalt and Vanadium
The syrup has high sugar content and can sometimes cause a tummy upset. It can also be a problem for anyone suffering from undiagnosed diabetes, which is so often the case these days. Diabetes, like autism is definitely on the increase.
