Shipping Policies
Standard
shipping is via Canada Post Expedited Parcel. For our valued US clients your
shipment will be delivered within the US by USPS. We are also happy to provide
quotes using UPS, Fedex, DHL on request. These services typically add $20-40
to the order. Tracking numbers are provided with all orders. International
Shipping and Shipping Insurance quotes are also available on request. These
options are listed and available to you as you start to complete your order
form. We offer FREE SHIPPING on all shoe orders.
Shipping Rates
We
also offer FREE SHIPPING on 'Socks Only' orders when you order 6 or more pair.
We only sell socks in units of three pairs. Shipping charges for 3 pair of
socks is $8.50. We offer FREE SHIPPING on Yaktrax Orders when you order two or
more pair. Shipping for a single pair of Yaktrax is $6.50. All FREE SHIPPING
orders are shipping via Canada Posts Expedited Parcel. Should you wish to have
FREE SHIPPING orders shipped by other methods please calll us for quotes.

may be given on large volume orders. Please call or email us for a quote. We
will do everything we can to accommodate you.
Return Policies
Because we deal only in the
very highest quality shoes and socks, we are very confident that you will just
love your new shoes and socks. However if you feel you do need to return an
order here are our guidelines. Please ensure that you call or email us first
before returning any goods for further instructions.
When you take advantage of our Perfect
Shoe Fit Guarantee and your shoes still don't fit properly you may return
them within 30 days for exchange or refund without a restocking fee being
applied. You pay the cost of return shipping to us. Please note that we can
only accept shoe returns that are in new condition and unmarked in any way. It
is recommended that you try them for fit while standing on a carpet so as not
to mark the soles.
Should you not take advantage of
our Perfect
Shoe Fit Guarantee and you feel you need to return your shoe order, you
pay the return shipping costs and a 25% restocking fee. You have 30
days from receipt of your shoe order to do so. Please note that we can only
accept shoe returns that are in new condition and unmarked in any way. It is
recommended that you try them for fit while standing on a carpet so as not to
mark the soles.

Please note also that the
management of The Walking Store reserves the right in exceptional cases of
charging a greater restocking fee. There has been a recent rash of what we can
only call 'capricious' orders where 2 & 3 pair of the same or similar shoe or
the same shoe in different colors have occurred without any intention of
keeping all the shoes that were ordered - only choosing at home and returning
the rest. We are a custom service store, not a high volume magastore that can
afford to do that.

Shoe Fit Guarantee for details on special shipping considerations that are
the best in the industry. To take advantage of our free shipping both ways
until you are happy with the fit, you must follow all of the steps outlined
there.
Limited Warranty
All of our shoes are covered
by a one year manufacturing defects warranty. Defective merchandise can be
returned within one year from the original shipping date for exchange only. We
pay the shipping costs both ways for defective merchanise. Please noitify us
before returning any such defective merchanbise for further instructions. From
time to time the manufacturers will also offer certain guarantees and return
procedures. You will be informed of these as they become available.
