Creating a ONE Click Draft Plan

OK I will admit it; it's not really one click to get to the ONE Click Draft Plan. But once you get it all set up it is ONE Click to get the print out you need. That print out will integrate all the Action Items for the Project you have selected.

If you select all the Projects and Action Items and accept the default Date and Time Allocation, the plan will give you 1600 hours of work to do over a year and a half. The default Dates are set up to start one full year before the public launch date you select. You will undoubtedly wish to make some adjustments to create your Final Draft Plan. But you can get a rough Draft Plan in about a half a day of work. Here's how.

We will start in the Project area of the software.

Church Creation Project Library Screen

While you can't read the text in the image above, you will notice that the box on the left is blank. The area on the right gives the basic information about the Projects in the system. You drag anything you want to use into the white box and drop it there.

Project Drag and Drop Screen

In the image above I have populated the Our Projects area with all the CC (Church Creation) Projects in the ToolBox. You will actually select only some of the Projects and leave others in the Library.

Each of the CC Projects has a suggested time frame. Once you build your Draft Plan you will make some adjustments before you get to your Final Draft. The default dates will all fall in 7 day increments from your launch day (usually Sunday).

Once you have the selection you want the next step is to select your public launch date. Here's how.

Set a Launch Date Screen

On the Edit Projects Screen you simply check the Tag box on all the Projects, select the Project Date -- in this case the public launch date -- and then click Set Tagged.

In a flash all your Projects and Action Items have a Date attached.

Now you are ready to put it on paper. That part is easy too. Here's how.

Select Paper Reporting Screen

There are a number of formats and inclusions for your reporting. We will teach you all about the possibilities at the training. Remember that training is an intensive week of learning so we can't cover everything here!

I have selected the basic Action Item report. I like to print it to a pdf file so I can email the file to others for them to read in Acrobat Reader (a free program they almost always have already).

The full report I printed was actually over 230 pages. In this case, I just selected one page as an illustration for you. All the Action Items are organized by Date. When it is time to start on some new Project while several others are in progress, it's first Action Item appears in the report at just the time you need it.

Sometimes you will print out one Project at a time to work on or to take to a meeting. At other times you will want a report that integrates all the responsibilities. Once you build your Final Draft Plan, you will be armed with everything you need to smoothly plan everything without hitting crisis points.

I am sure you can see how that part of the Draft Plan will help you get things done right.

But you still must me sure you are doing the right things.

As part of your Draft Plan you will probably want to print out one more report to show how it all comes together. We call that a Philosophy Summary. This report contains some information we haven't covered in this tour. This will be a report of over 40 pages. But I leave you with this to show how you link up multiple Projects to each piece of your philosophy. This will help you create a balanced ministry that will have the potential to thrive for many years to come.

There are just a few more details to cover. On the next screen I will give you a link to a complimentary copy of the classic book "How To Reproduce Your Church!"

Click "Next" and we will conclude our tour.
