Tracking Responsibilities

Church planters often feel like the guy in the circus balancing plates on the end of sticks.

There are others to help you spin those plates. But you have to train them, delegate the jobs and make sure they get things done on budget and on time.

Integrated with the complete church directory function in The ToolBox (not covered in this tour) is the capacity to assign responsibilities to individuals or groups. When you have all the responsibilities in place the time that would have bubbled up to the person who is managing the Project is delegated to the individual who has been assigned a given Action Item.

There are other important things you will learn to do on this screen as well. But we are not going to cover them here.

Responsibilities and Category Screen

We are warming up to what I think is the most exciting part of this tour, the One Click Draft Plan. But I still have a few more things to show you. And at that, there is so much we have left out!

Before we get to that One Click Draft Plan I want you to think about how you are going to accomplish everything you have seen illustrated here without the CC ToolBox. There isn't an administrative assistant in the world who can give you all this capacity. In fact, one pastor told us we saved him $60,000 a year on the salary he would have paid to have a good administrator come on staff to help him.

You may have all the ideas you need. If you do, there is a high probability there is something similar in the CC ToolBox for you to tweak and make your own. Or you can add a whole new Project. Did you ever notice that when you write a document you spend a good deal of time thinking about how to structure and format it? When you put a Project in the ToolBox you don't have to worry about that. We have done all the formatting for you. You just have to type the text. And if you have other documents already done there is a Document Linker right in the software to keep track of all your files using the ToolBox as your indexing system.

So much of what you do is calendar driven. Instead of using one of the packages off the shelf to manage your schedule you can use the DateBook built right in to the ToolBox.

Click "Next" and I will tell you about that briefly just before we get the that exciting One Click Draft Plan.
