- Australian Association for Byzantine Studies
- The Australian Association for Byzantine Studies is a non-profit organisation that aims to foster links between scholars, students and laypersons within Australia and New Zealand who are interested in Byzantium and related fields.
- Byzantium - Society for the Promotion of Byzantine Studies Online
- The Society for the Promotion of Byzantine Studies (SPBS) was established in 1983, with the object of furthering study and knowledge of the history and culture, language and literature of the Byzantine Empire and its neighbours.
- Estudios bizantinos (CSIC)
- The Byzantine and Balkan studies section of Consejo Superior de Investigationes Cientifias. In contains a number of articles about Byzantium, the Balkans and its relationship to Spain. The site is in Spanish.
- AEIB Bulletin - Electronic Edition
- Association Internationale des Etudes Byzantines. This site is in French.
- Byzantine Studies Conference
- The Byzantine Studies Conference is an association for the presentation and discussion of papers embodying current research on all aspects of Byzantine history and culture.
- Dumbarton Oaks
- Dumbarton Oaks is the one of the preeminent research institutions for Byzantine Studies in the United States. They have an outstanding library as well as other resources.

- Modern and Ancient Greek on-line lexicon.
- Greek Lexicon
- A New Testment Greek lexicon. It is not exhaustive for the entire Greek language, but focuses on words in the Greek bible.
- Greek Grammar on the Web
- An on-line study guide to ancient Greek. it includes useful links to Greek fonts and on-line lexicons.
- The Online Medieval and Classical Library (DL SunSITE)
- This site does not have a great deal of Byzantine material, but there are many full text translations of important medieval texts.
- The Ecole Initiative: Index Page
- The goal of this project is to create an on-line encyclopedia of early Christian Church history. It includes a number of translations, articles, images, and a timeline.
- ORB: The Library
- The On-line Reference Book for Medieval Studies contains an number of translations of medieval texts, articles and links.
- St. Pachomius Library
- An on-line encyclopedia of Orthodox Christianity. Simiilar to the Ecole Initiative (see above).

- The Prosopography of the Byzantine Empire Project's goal is to record in a computerised relational database all surviving information about every individual mentioned in Byzantine sources during the period from 641 to 1261, and every individual mentioned in non-Byzantine sources during the same period who is 'relevant' (on a generous interpretation) to Byzantine affairs.

- An extensive on-line exhibition by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture of artifacts held by the monasteries on Mt. Athos. There is a wide array of images of artifacts from several artistic disciplines. These is also histoical and cultural information regarding the monastic community.

- This site contain many images of Byzantine artifacts located on Mt. Athos. In addition, it also supplies information about many of the monasteries there.
- Digital Byzantium
- The homepage for a CD-Rom that features an interactive presentation of the Chilandar Monastery on Mt. Athos. The CD contains thousands of photographs and pages of texts.
