One hundred ninety-eight facsimile reproductions of various book scripts and subscriptions from the dated Greek manuscripts extant in the libraries of Great Britain provide ample paleographical material that will help classicists, Byzantinists, theologians, and paleographers to date other manuscripts and to determine their origins. The author presents the chronological evidence exhibited in the subscriptions and extensively interprets their prosopographical, historical, geographical, and linguistic elements.
